Twin Cities Romanian Festival 2008
We are excited to invite you to our second Romanian Festival in the Twin Cities, organized by our church community. The event will
take place on Saturday, July 26th from 11 am to 7 pm on the grounds of St. Stefan Church (directions).
A great time for the entire family - bring your friends and spend the day with us to enjoy and savor the flavors of Romanian food and culture:
- Food for the body - delicious Romanian sausage, chicken on the grill, salad, side dishes, beverages, beer, Romanian pastries and much more
- Food for the soul – Romanian music, featuring the renown ensemble Izvorasul performing in authentic Romanian costumes,
slide show depicting Romania’s beauty and wealth of cultural treasures, Romanian art crafts, games for the children
- Food for the spirit - an immersion in the essence of Eastern Orthodox Christianity through tours of the church, an exhibit and sale of beautiful icons and books that are treasures for spiritual growth and understandin

All the proceedings will be used for the restoration of our church that has been listed as one of Minnesota's historical monuments.
Our forefathers built this monument to preserve their cultural and spiritual roots and now it is our turn to at least preserve it.
With the proceeds and the donations generated by last year’s festival, we began the first step of the restoration process.

If you are coming from interstate I 494:
- Take I 494 East
- Go past Rochester Exit. Go past Robert St Exit. Go past 5th +7th Ave Exit
- Exit at Hwy 156 - Concord St Exit
- Turn left at the stop light. Go to Grand Ave. There is a stop light
- To your left there is a big red stone building right at the corner. Turn left onto Grand Ave W at the light
- Continue on Grand Ave as it turns right
- Turn slight left onto 3rd St. N
- Turn right onto 5th Ave. N. The church is at the end of the street on the right side
If you are coming from interstate I 94:
- Take the Hwy 52 exit. It is the first exit past the last exit for downtown St. Paul
- Go over the bridge. Exit at the Hwy 156 Exit
- At the bottom of the Hill at the stop light turn left. You are on Hwy 156 going toward the old stockyards. Go for about 5-10 minutes.
- At the stop light before you exit there is a gas station to your right. The next stop light is Grand Ave.
- There is a big red stone building to your right. Turn right onto Grand Ave W at the light.
- Turn slight left onto 3rd St. N
- Turn right onto 5th Ave. N. The church is at the end of the street on the right side
